Two Tipped Picks Don't Explain This Cowboys Loss

Hi and welcome to another edition of Right

on Rangers Live coming at you, fourth quarter,

99 yards to go.

Piece of cake baby.

Dak is gonna fire one over to Flournoy

who takes it up to about the 18

yard line.

Cowboys given some life by the Buccaneers.

What I would call a questionable decision man.

Does 17 really matter over 21 there?

Look if it's me I'm saying no it

doesn't.

If you go up 17 versus 21 who

cares?

It's a three possession ball game.

I get the idea of being on the

doorstep there.

You take the three possessions all day long

man.

Dak pressured, manages to get it off to

Turpin and great play by number nine there

to secure the football.

Cowboys gonna go hurry up here.

Look that play, that decision could be huge

to not kick that field goal.

I still say what does 21 matter versus

17 at this point in the ball game

as George Pickens patented slant route takes it

up to the Cowboys 45.

I'm gonna have to hear the post game

on that one.

I really am.

I think that was a total gift and

it may benefit the Cowboys.

It may be too late.

Appreciate all you guys hanging out.

A bunch of y'all know the drill

but here at Right on Rangers we cover

everything Texas sports but we put a huge

emphasis on the Cowboys during the NFL season

and we thank you for choosing Ride on

Rangers for all your Dallas Cowboys content.

Drop a comment, drop a question.

Definitely gonna get to a ton of that

after the game comes to a conclusion.

Hopefully the Cowboys have a miracle left in

them.

Second and six right now but definitely we'll

be checking the chat here and there as

the game is going on.

Pickens another wide open slant route.

He hurdles the defender, takes a huge shot

and the ball looks like possibly got taken

away.

They're gonna call him down by contact.

George baby, I appreciate the effort there my

guy.

Was that really needed?

We really need to hurdle somebody when you

got a safety bearing down on you in

the middle of the field?

Oh Brian what's good?

Kachow what's good?

Thanks for hanging out.

Yeah this has been an embarrassing ball game

so far.

I don't think there's any doubt about it.

You have so many different things that you

can point to at this point where to

even begin.

We're gonna try and and finish out a

ball game here.

We really are but there's just a long

list of embarrassing factors in this one.

Thanks Max what's good?

That is the question of the day.

What are we doing?

What are we doing tonight man?

An 0-14 we play back-to-back

winless teams.

And we got to make it close.

You play the winless Texans, you play the

winless Bucs in back-to-back weeks.

And we got to make these matchups close

don't we?

Third and two.

Mingo making an appearance.

Mingo baby.

2-10 Mikey what's good?

Christian Parker is not helping his cause I'm

sure.

You know some of the apologists out there

and there's look you know you guys know

I cover the Rangers quite a bit.

They're they're the primary here Right on Rangers.

It is Right on Rangers for a reason.

But look there's not as many apologists in

Cowboys Nation.

You got a lot of Cowboys fans telling

it like it is.

I can imagine the excuse is gonna be

Porter.

You know the late illness.

How it changed everything that they were going

to do defensively.

Oh my goodness Mingo what are you doing

bro?

A beautiful toss by Dak Prescott is dropped

by Mingo.

What are we doing brother?

That ball couldn't have been dropped any better.

Got to make that catch.

I mean look it's not the the easiest

catch in the world but dude you're an

NFL receiver.

We got to make that catch.

Have to.

Dak really couldn't have placed that much better.

He really couldn't have.

Ugly.

Very ugly.

Second and ten.

Five minutes and 30 seconds.

Daniel what's good man?

Eric what's good?

Good to see you guys.

Appreciate all y'all.

Uh basically Dak it was pretty much a

fade route to Mingo and Dak drops it

right in the bread basket.

George Pickens touchdown here.

Cowboys within one.

Isn't this crazy?

They played like crap all night long but

they they've somehow got a shot.

They they somehow have an opportunity here.

It's gonna be likely a seven point game

with Brandon Aubrey doing his thing.

George Pickens touchdown reception roughly about a 17

yard.

Nice little nice little out route.

Nice little corner route there and Dak finds

him.

Back shoulders him.

Love it.

GP putting seven on the board.

They're going for two here?

They're going for two here.

Oh no my goodness.

All right I'm sure the analytics are at

work.

Dak drops back.

Doesn't have anybody.

Doesn't have anybody and the Cowboys are now

down by eight.

The analytics baby.

Gotta love those analytics.

Telling you to go for two there.

And here's my my two cents.

First of all screw the analytics.

Second of all you just built momentum with

that drive and now you gotta go with

an incomplete here.

Looked like Dak did have a receiver open.

I mean he did have uh looked like

Flournoy open in the back of the end

zone.

Not sure what happened but I mean look

I take the the one point there and

you stick with the positive momentum that you

just built on that touchdown drive.

You just went 99 yards.

You just went 99 yards.

Stick with the positive momentum.

Just put it through the uprights.

Get me within seven.

Yeah he was open.

Aspen you're right.

I mean you're right.

I still say it's one of those things

where you know even with the hindsight man

I still don't think it's the wisest move

to go for it there.

I really don't.

It doesn't matter that you know Fergie is

open there.

That he had a man there.

To me just take the positive momentum.

Take the positive momentum.

Just get the get the one.

Get within seven.

You just went 99 yards.

I mean that that to me is very

key in this discussion.

You just had a 99 yard touchdown drive.

Just take the win baby.

Be down seven.

You know you want to roll the dice

late.

Okay but man I do not understand some

of the decisions by both coaches here in

the last couple of minutes.

I don't get it.

I don't understand Todd Bowles.

What are you doing not kicking the field

goal?

It doesn't matter if you're up 17 or

21.

There's like six minutes left in the game

bro.

Why are we going for it there?

I get it you're one yard away.

Go up 17.

Go up 17.

That makes little to no sense to me.

I would love to hear the rationale.

When you are that late in a ball

game Todd Bowles.

When you're that late.

It's not third quarter.

Dude we are in the fourth quarter with

single digit minutes left.

Why are you going for it and not

accepting an easy free possession ball game?

Tex-Mex says the answer is Vegas.

Love that.

Phone call made.

Am I right Tex-Mex?

Vegas made a phone call to Todd Bowles.

Hey might want to might want to go

for it here.

Don't don't don't settle for the three.

Don't take a three possession lead.

Too much man.

Hey look five minutes 26 seconds left here.

The much maligned defense is gonna have to

do something.

Something.

Can we get a stop?

Yes I know they had the goal line

stand.

Phenomenal.

We're gonna have to get a stop here.

Gonna have to get off the field.

Yeah not sure what's good.

CD does appear to have some kind of

ailment right?

Not sure what the extent of it is.

Not sure of any of that but yeah.

Hey Gaming Eagle appreciate you.

Comment here.

Think Jerry grossly overestimated the quality of our

defense.

Micah hit a lot of problems.

Players on the defense suck and no DC

is gonna fix this let alone a first

time DC.

You guys know how I feel about Micah.

Appreciate you Gaming Eagle.

Thank you so much for the generosity.

Not needed much appreciated brother.

There's no doubt like Micah Parsons on the

edge is extremely beneficial in a lot of

different ways.

Look I do feel like Rose colored glasses

a little bit.

When Micah was on the team the Cowboys

still struggled to stop the run.

You had teams running wild on us because

you know they're just going up the middle

and letting Micah run right past.

So I think Micah on the defense obviously

I'm not gonna say he was in any

way a hindrance.

I don't feel that way.

I just think with Micah you don't want

to pay that much money for what Micah

brought to the team.

He's a good player.

He's a great player.

Not a fan of paying Micah Parsons big

time money.

Edge rushers you kind of felt like there

was a lot to grab from.

Like the pool was deep.

It's been a little harder for the Cowboys

to lock in the Micah Parsons replacement.

They've tried to do it through the D

-line and it's definitely on paper.

Williams and Clark and all those dudes up

the middle on paper.

It's pretty nice but you have not gotten

a lot of pressure from this D-line.

Not a lot of sacks.

You know not amazing against the run.

Not terrible against the run but not amazing.

Cowboys are gonna make a four yard tackle

for loss here.

So second and 14.

5-10 left and Dallas looks to be.

I don't know if they called the time

out here.

Barham is walking off right now.

That's not good.

Jay Sean Barham walking off.

Maybe gonna go in the medical tent here.

That's not promising.

Oh yeah.

Todd Bowles is an idiot but so is

Schotty Scott.

What's good.

Love you buddy.

What are you gonna do?

Yeah I think this is well said.

Both coaches some questionable decisions tonight.

No doubt about that.

No doubt.

I know that there's a lot of people.

One thing I was I was really curious

about and I kind of did some diving.

There's not a lot of Schotty defenders out

there.

There's a few.

There's not a ton of Schotty defenders out

there.

And at this point it's it's hard to

argue with that.

He has not been great tonight.

The offense has looked at a little out

of sync.

Sands that last drive.

That last drive looked good.

Here you go.

You get another handoff here.

Bucky Irvin gonna get some yardage.

Nice stand up tackle here.

That's to the football and it's gonna get

back to a little bit in front of

the sticks.

You've got a third and nine coming up.

Clock still ticking down.

Dallas has all three timeouts remaining.

They trail the Tampa Bay Bucs 24 to

16 here in the fourth quarter.

Appreciate all you guys hanging out.

Gotta have a stop here.

Midnight Rick.

Appreciate you man.

Thank you for the comments.

Absolutely.

You gotta have a stop here.

Brian is is definitely spot on with this

comment.

Brian appreciate you buddy.

Uh it's YouTube comment here.

They've had some pressure tonight.

The line has just not finishing the place.

And that's tough to do with the mobile

quarterback.

Here is third down.

Oh!

DaRon Bland!

What are you doing?

DaRon!

Oh!

What are we doing?

Dude it hit you right in the hands.

That's an easy pick six.

No!

Oh!

You gotta have that.

You gotta have that.

I'm sorry man.

It's plays like that.

You've gotta have that.

It's you right in the freaking hands.

Oh!

Look I believe in the offense.

I think the offense can do something here.

Dak's done it too many times.

I think the offense can do something special

here.

But my goodness DaRon Bland.

You are making a lot of freaking money

to drop that football telegraphed right to your

chest.

Drilling in.

We got a 24-16 ball game.

Cowboys down eight.

Easiest pick six ever.

Niners Nation I'm with you on that.

No doubt.

Easiest pick six.

My goodness DaRon.

Brian YouTube says why is DaRon Bland even

on the field anymore?

Look the dude's getting paid healthily and that

is why he's on the field.

You're not gonna have DaRon Bland on the

bench getting paid what he is getting paid.

But dude.

I don't know that you're going to get

an easier walk-in touchdown than what he

just had.

That being said.

Eric is right.

Facebook comment here.

They've got a shot.

We told them they needed to get off

the field.

They've got a shot.

Nate I'm with you brother.

YouTube comment.

Pick six on a silver platter.

No doubt.

Man.

That was gift wrapped.

Gift wrapped with all the bells and whistles.

Yeah.

DaRon Bland.

That contract is just not looking great right

now.

You guys know I try to be optimistic

but I got to call it like it

is.

You just you overreacted a little bit to

the pick six season to the record-setting

season.

You definitely needed to shore up the secondary.

Felt like they overreacted.

They knee-jerked a little bit on Bland.

Would have liked to have seen a little

more consistency before giving that dude the bag.

Hey at least the Stars won.

At least the Stars won.

And by the way I am starting to

do and I will start to churn out

some more Dallas Stars content.

I know quite a few of you have

been asking me about doing Star stuff and

I've relented a little bit.

It's look.

Ranger season is crazy but I finally decided

to dive in.

So you'll definitely be seeing some Star stuff

from me over the next I would say

coming weeks, months, the entire season.

I'm gonna try and do at least a

video after each game.

Do not think I will do any Stars

lives just so you're aware.

Maybe in playoffs.

Maybe if it gets to a big spot

in the season or a big game I

might but I'll probably keep it simple with

the live shows.

Rangers, football, Cowboys, Longhorns but we'll be definitely

expanding a little bit here.

Go Stars.

Big win.

Midnight Rick.

Agreed.

Hey look they go up they do the

five nothing thing on Monday night.

Celebrini's out for the Sharks.

You kind of wondering all right is this

you know a one-shot deal and then

they came out tonight scoring four goals in

two periods and you're like nope.

This this looks like the team that was

incredibly dangerous all season long last year.

Fergie.

A little quick pass here.

He's gonna get six yards but yeah it's

good to see the Stars get a win

over Buffalo tonight.

Four nothing.

Back-to-back shutouts.

Beautiful beautiful thing to see right now.

Three minutes 23 seconds.

Dak in the shotgun.

He's gonna hit Flournoy who's trying to get

out of bounds.

Should get out of bounds.

Idiotically does not get out of bounds.

Okay I guess we are just playing stupid

football right now.

What are you doing dude?

You're right there by the sideline.

Get out of bounds.

Oh Tex Max I will try to be

my eyes.

I'll try to be your eyes and ears

here.

I will try my best.

Dak and company at the 44 yard line

of the Bucs.

Two minutes 45 seconds left.

Dak tosses it over the middle.

Tough play.

Pickens not able to bring it down.

You might have a holding penalty here.

We'll see what happens.

We'll see what the call is.

244 left.

Yep little five yard penalty here.

Holding or that should be 10.

I think he said five yard.

Should be a 10 yard no?

Not good.

Not what you want to see.

Backing it up because of O-line trouble.

Booker with the hold here.

Right around the neck.

Good call.

Yeah you're not going to get away with

that one.

Ref was basically staring it down.

First and 20 at the Dallas 46 yard

line.

You need a touchdown and a two point

conversion.

Dak drops back.

Fires it.

Pickens into Bucs territory.

Get down George.

Gets to about the 47 yard line.

I don't know if I'm ahead of you

guys or not.

I'm sorry if you don't like the spoilers.

I know some of y'all can put

me on pause.

Definitely do that.

I know TikTok y'all are kind of

SOL but hey look I'll definitely just call

it like I see it.

I understand if you want to watch the

game and not have everything spoiled.

Is this a catch here?

Looks like they're going to give.

They're going to give Mingo the catch.

It's one yard shy of the marker but

they're going to give Mingo the catch here

on a little comeback route.

Third and one.

Two minute warning.

They might review this thing.

See what they decide to do.

Two minute warning though for sure either way.

This is crazy.

They might have an opportunity here.

I feel like this is the Texans game

all over again.

I don't know about y'all.

They were down what 24 to 13 and

you were just feeling like this is terrible

and then they just started lighting it on

fire.

I think that's a catch for sure.

No doubt about it.

Good catch on the comeback there by Mingo.

It'll be third and one coming out of

the two minute warning.

Definitely want to milk some clock here.

You do have Tampa Bay with two timeouts

so I don't know how much they're going

to be able to do that.

You figure if Tampa Bay can start calling

some timeouts, you maybe get one or two

more first downs, you might be able to

control the clock and milk that all the

way down so Tampa Bay would not have

an opportunity to go ahead in regulation.

Best the Cowboys can really hope for at

this point is OT.

It is going to be a nervy two

minutes at AT&T stadium.

Midnight Rick, I was thinking the same thing.

Big is with the LeBron flop.

Hey, do what you got to do.

I guess to get this across the finish

line, man, do what you got to do.

Appreciate all you guys hanging out, man, talking

ball.

This is, this is what we started this

for, man.

Hanging out, talking Cowboys football.

Love it.

Here's a handoff.

Javonte is going to get it over the

yellow and the Cowboys will have a fresh

set of downs here.

Tampa Bay continuing to let that clock tick.

Makes sense.

Not really a big reason to call timeout.

They might, if you get down there a

little bit deeper, but I think right now

you're going to let that clock run as

much as you can.

Pickens, eight and a half, nine yard gain.

Text Max says, tick-tock comment.

Is anyone else wondering how we're going to

possibly screw up the two point conversion?

This is what being a Cowboys fan does

to you.

Full cynicism mode activated.

Dak in the pocket, hand in top.

Oh, that's the ball game.

Yep.

Ferguson, I believe with the just straight up

drop and that's been a recurring theme.

You had Mingo dropping a ball, going right

off the hands.

That's a recurring theme.

Game is not over, technically defense could get

a stop here.

But man, Ferguson's another one.

DaRon and Fergie, you've got dudes making

some good money, not really performing like you

want them to.

That's pathetic.

Fergie.

I mean, Fergie had another one that went

off his hands too.

I'm so tired of Fergie patty cake in

the football up in the air.

It's not a great ball by Dak.

Let's be honest.

It's not a great ball by Dak.

It's a wobbler.

Looked like he got the, eh, might not

even gotten deflected.

It was just a little bit of a

duck, a little bit of a wobbler from

Dak, but dude, I don't care.

Fergie catch the dang football.

What are we doing?

He had another one.

Dak threw it high.

I'm old school, man.

If it hits you in the hands, catch

the football.

Fergie had another one that he played patty

cake with.

But really you have two passes from Dak.

Not great passes.

They're not perfect pinpoint.

That one hits Fergie pretty much right in

the hands, although it was a wobbler.

Fergie not had a great night tonight.

Not had a great night.

Yep.

George Pickens, I feel your pain.

Pickens slamming down the helmet in disgust.

I feel the pain.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Ferguson, you should feel that one, man.

That's right in the chest, bro.

Right in the chest.

Dude, the middle school football players that I

coach, they're doing that kind of stuff at

times, man.

Not NFL players.

God bless them.

That was a good pass.

I mean, look a little wobbly.

If I'm being nitpicky, I know what some

people are going to say, but it's a

catchable football.

No doubt.

King Aztec, no, no arguments that it's a,

it's a good pass that needs to be

caught.

Not elite, not tight spiral delivered firmly.

A little bit of a wobbler, but I'm

not blaming Dak for that one.

Here's the handoff.

That's gonna, that's not good.

Not good.

You've got a 30 yard game for Bucky

Irving on the ground and it's pretty much

right up the middle on a run play.

Cowboys are going to call a timeout and

you know, that, that pretty much does it

pretty much.

Ryan was good.

24 to 16 Bucs are in the lead

and you've got a minute and four seconds

left.

Can't even believe what I'm watching right now.

I still can't believe you've got Jake Ferguson

dropping a pass literally right at his chest.

And that's his second one tonight.

He's Patty caked up in the air.

It's like, dude, either catch the dang football

or stop just sticking your hands out there,

praying that you come into contact with it.

Good child.

I saw that Jerry already heading down.

Cowboys are not going to call a timeout.

And I think mathematically, why would you at

this point, you don't have the timeouts to

stop this clock and get the ball back.

Embarrassing, embarrassing loss.

And look, you had DaRon Bland with a

drop.

Cowboys had two huge drops.

You had DaRon Bland dropping a pick six

and you have Jake Ferguson dropping.

What would have been a nice sizable gain

would have gotten the Cowboys close to the

end zone.

So those are going to be the two

plays to me that really stand out.

Although this game was lost in, in the

first few quarters, if we're being honest and

getting down to the Bucs, 24 to 10.

And honestly, if the Bucs would not have

totally mismanaged the game when they had a

chance to go up three possessions, this game

wouldn't have even been close.

It wouldn't have even been a good finish.

If Todd bowls would have just kicked the

field goal.

There didn't make any sense to me why

you're trying to go for the touchdown.

It doesn't matter if you're up 21 or

17, when you've got that little time left

in the game, DaRon Bland though, and Jake

Ferguson back-to-back series, one defensive series,

one offensive series dropping.

What would have been very, very easy, not,

not touchdowns, but easy gains DaRon Bland would

have been a touchdown.

The, the going for two I'm I'm with

you.

TikTok comment made absolutely no sense to go

for two, two stupid coaches.

Yeah.

The coaching left something to be desired tonight.

I'll agree.

I don't understand going for two.

They're Schotty.

I'm sure the analytics have everything to do

everything to do with that.

I don't get it.

You just went 99 yards, take the points,

go up, go down, excuse me, just by

seven instead of eight.

But yeah, I'm sure the analytics said, Hey,

you're only down six.

You can go for the win.

This division though.

Tex max says, let's be honest.

Giants may actually win this division based on

their coach.

They might this, this division feels very AL

West ask for my baseball fans out there.

Like this division feels very bad.

Like the, the commanders do not feel good.

The Eagles feel very bad.

The giants feel like a bit of a

pretender.

I mean, especially with dart out in Winston

at the helm.

I don't have much faith in the giants

Harbaugh or not.

I really feel like it's going to be

a repeat of what we experienced in the

baseball season with the Astros and Mariners and

A's and the AL West man, the angels

throw them in there.

Like who wants to win?

Nobody.

Okay.

And look today, tonight for the Cowboys, you're

at home, man.

I don't even care.

It's a four day turnaround.

You're at home.

Let's go.

It's just an embarrassing home loss in front

of the fans, spending their hard-earned money

to come to this game.

And you're losing badly to an O and

four team badly.

Pathetic L very pathetic.

L a lot of you guys getting on

Ferguson.

I'm with you.

I am with you, Ferguson, man.

It two times tonight doing the patty cake

routine.

Hey, look, you're going to stick your hand

out in the air and try and catch

a football, catch the football.

The one earlier on with Ferguson was not

a great throw by Dak.

The second one, the one that ended up

losing the Cowboys, the game that throw was

just fine by Dak Prescott.

I know some Dak haters are probably going

to get on the fact that it wasn't

a perfect spiral, but you know what?

A little wobbly or not.

It's right there in your face on the

numbers would have to watch the replay to

get the exact location, but she's the ball

bouncing off the stone hands up into the

air.

It felt like you saw that four or

five times tonight.

Flournoy had one Ferguson had two felt like

somebody else had another.

It's like, what is this man?

Come on.

What are we doing out here?

I said, you feel like you're out at

a peewee football practice, watching the ball bounce

off people's chest and up in the air

and all over the place.

John, I would say that's being really nitpicky

dude behind Ferguson.

Dude, if maybe like by two inches, I

mean, dude, what are we talking about?

Uh, that was on the one that ended

the game.

John, the one that, the one that ended

the game, the ball hit him in the

face.

They're showing the replay right now.

You got to watch the replay.

My guy, come on high and behind means

you're turning your entire body.

Like if Ferguson is catching that ball behind,

you are turning your entire body to the

left.

Not even close to that, dude.

I I'm going to have to agree to

disagree with you.

I'm not even going to argue that it's

a waste of my time that that ball

is definitely not behind Jake Ferguson.

I'll give you two inches behind.

Uh, that could have been a whole lot

worse of a throw.

Not even close.

I don't think you're going to have a

lot of people agreeing there, John.

Like seriously, dude, uh, that, that to me

is drinking way too much Dak haterade.

If you think that is a bad throw

by Dak, I mean, just showing your cards

and putting them right on the table.

Like I have no, no clue.

I'll give you, I'll give you a wobbler,

John.

I'm not going to even go with the

behind Dak Prescott, dude.

I'm not sure what we're watching.

Uh, fully, fully said it and admitted it

out there.

It's not Dak's best ball, but it's definitely

not uncatchable by any means.

Uh, why are people still saying Dak is

better than Purdy?

Well, Purdy definitely has some miles to go

yet before he gets to Dak's longevity and

consistency in the league and Dak gets a

lot of crap, but you know, Brock Purdy

obviously had a hot start.

I think Purdy is definitely a high level

quarterback.

I don't think there's any denying that.

Uh, at this point, I, I'm not sure

that that can be really written at this

moment in time.

I think Purdy is hot because you've got

the 49ers out to what a four and

Oh, start five and Oh, start.

I mean, it's so prisoner of the moment.

I think to have those crazy debates at

this point, I mean, you think about Brock

Purdy a year or two ago, it's a

totally different conversation.

You think about Brock Purdy three or four

years ago, it's a totally different conversation.

It changes every other year, man.

I mean, Dak, he's a lot of things

he's performed at a pretty high level over

his 10, 11 year career.

Uh, definitely has had his moments of choking,

definitely at his moments of soil in the

bed.

I don't think there's any denying that, but

Dak's done this at a high level for

a long time.

I'm not saying he's the best quarterback in

the league, but I'll roll with Dak tonight.

Dak definitely did not have his best game.

I definitely feel like the offense let Dak

down a little bit tonight.

He had a lot of balls bouncing off

the hands, a lot of balls bouncing off

the hands tonight.

I think he had some issues with the

running game as well.

We're going to dive into the numbers.

Couldn't run the ball very well.

I would love to see the breakdown.

We'll pull up the stats at this moment.

Uh, quit making excuses, dude.

I might as well not do a show

if we can't talk about the reasons the

Cowboys lost the game.

Hey, I love how people say quit making

excuses.

Are we not just talking about reasons why

they lost?

Uh, we're not talking about reasons why they

almost won.

We're talking about reasons why they lost the

game.

I mean, laziest comment ever.

No, but nobody is sitting here.

Cowboys deserve to win and they got screwed

at the end.

I don't think anybody has that sentiment.

If anything, the sentiment you should have is

they deserve to lose and almost were fortunate

enough to win or tie the game and

have a chance late coaches have cost us.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I feel like the coaching is not helping

the cause.

There are some coaching staffs where you feel

like they give you that push over the

finish line.

Uh, they, they give you that push when

you need it late.

They have a pretty even keel effect on

the game, but then in the big moments,

they kind of rise above everything else.

You don't really feel like you have that

with this coaching staff.

You don't really feel that.

Uh, let me see what else we got.

Purdy has more touchdowns, less interceptions, better completion

percentage, and a better passer rating.

I mean, sure we can throw out stats

out there all day long for a four

or five game stretch, but I don't think

at this moment in time, uh, I'm taking

Purdy over Dak Prescott, not as proven, but

look, I know people, a lot of people

are going to hate on Dak.

I'm telling you where I'm at and sure.

Call it bias, call it being a Homer

or whatever.

Uh, Dak to me, I'd rather have him

in a big game than a lot of

quarterbacks.

To be honest with you, I think Dak

is criminally underrated and very much overly hated

on, but we'll have to agree to disagree.

I mean, look, it's, it's kind of to

a point where I'll definitely have the debate.

I'll go back and forth, but I mean,

Dak, literally it's his fault.

Every time they lose, it doesn't matter what

happens.

There's, there's not a lot of logic with

the Dak Prescott debate.

Very little, very little.

I mean, look Dak, uh, in, in the

green Bay loss a couple of years ago

in the playoffs, the defense is getting torched.

It's still all Dak's fault.

I mean, he can't win.

He can't win.

There's always going to be people that just

never think he is going to be a

mountain to very much.

I don't know.

Not on that train.

Never will be.

We keep rolling.

Appreciate all you guys hanging out.

We are at this moment in time, about

35 minutes or so into the show.

Cowboys lose 24 to 16 to the Bucs.

Not a great game.

Not a great game at all.

You play back-to-back weeks against winless

opponents.

And it's just like, just the efforts in

both games.

I mean, impressive comeback against the Texans, right?

You're down 24 to 13 impressive comeback, nice

drive at the end to win the ball

game.

But you're going down to the wire with

winless teams back-to-back weeks.

Dak was not amazing tonight.

I'll definitely give that.

Uh, and I, and I think I've said

that multiple times.

Dak did not have his best ball game

tonight, 24 for 42 missing 18.

Some of those obviously are drops, but you

have a couple of picks and granted they're

kind of Patty cake picks, but a three

16 through the air.

The big thing to me is you just

didn't have a balanced attack tonight.

You threw the ball 42 times and you

ran at 13.

I mean, that's not balanced football.

That that's not going to do you a

lot of favors.

Javonte 12 for 45, uh, 3.8 per

carry.

He did have a long of 21.

They really went away from the run.

Some of that's game script.

You got down by a couple touchdowns.

You kind of had to throw the football,

right?

But even before the game script was calling

for it, they were just going past a

way too much.

They, they did not do enough in the

running game to really make this offense more

of a balanced attack.

Cowboys got a week and a half now

to figure it out before they go to

Lambeau, the Micah Parsons game, keep rolling shot.

He said his defense will win us a

game in the future.

The future is 2050.

You got to laugh after, after big game,

after, after some of these games, you really

do keep your sanity.

I mean, look Schotty to me, he's, he's

kind of mastered the media game a little

bit, but I think some people are, are

kind of calling out the shtick, you know,

Schotty he'll, he'll take the accountability.

But at this point, it's almost like routine.

Like you just come to expect it out

of him and you don't talk is cheap,

right?

Go in some football games, go in some

football games, man.

Schotty.

I mean, for my Rangers fans, Schotty is

kind of the, the opposite of skip and

that he'll come out and he'll, he'll take

all the blame.

Skip did that very rarely in 2026 with

the Rangers Schotty.

He'll come out and tell you straight up.

It's his fault, but I think it's just

a bit of a tired stick for some

Cowboys fans, because you're hearing the same thing

from him every single game.

And you're watching the same thing happen on

the field.

Every single game, uh, more receivers sold tonight.

Ferguson needs to be benched.

Marty, uh, Fergie is definitely left something to

be desired, uh, through the air Pickens nine

for one 30 CD lamb to receptions, nine

yards.

I think it was pretty obvious he was

dealing with something.

He was targeted five times, but yeah, not

having CD at full strength.

And I think that was pretty apparent.

Definitely hurt them tonight.

Don't know if it would have been the

difference in a winner or loss, but it

definitely hurts tick-tock comment here.

It's a life of misery being a fan

of this team, man.

It definitely is the DFW sports.

It's not for the faint of heart.

It's really not.

It doesn't matter if it's stars, uh, Rangers,

you know, we got the world series a

few years ago.

We've been through some heartache with the Rangers.

We're going through some heartache right now.

Mavs.

I mean, we, we got the 2011 chip

and it has been Rocky since the Luca

trade DFW sports fandom is not for the

faint of heart.

It's really not.

Hey, that is the positive, uh, tick-tock

comment here.

At least we didn't give up 30 points

tonight.

Silver linings.

Yay.

Moral victories, baby.

Uh, look, Cowboys dropped the two and three

one and two at home.

That is not like the boys.

Uh, one thing you can say is they

typically play pretty well in this stadium and

they've now lost two games at home or

trying to think is that, is that second

game?

She's the giants.

One on the road is the Rio game,

a home game.

I don't know.

It's been a long day, but the secondary

not having Joey Porter jr.

I think definitely makes a difference.

I saw some people before the game getting

into, you know, the, the psychoanalysis, the psychology,

you know, Oh, he, he doesn't want to

play.

He's already quitting on the team.

Look, it is what it is.

I can't imagine that it was anything like,

you know, just crazy or anything off like

that.

That would really surprise me is what it

is.

You can't avoid it.

Illness, not what you want to see.

Let's say that Joey Porter jr.

Getting scratched with an illness is not what

you want to see after recently trading for

him, but I'm not going to go there

with many.

He doesn't want to play.

Come on now.

What a help to have him though.

Although most of the damage tonight was on

the ground.

You had 241 yards is Joey Porter jr.

Helping with 241 yards, giving up on the

ground maybe, but I would be betting no.

Yeah.

You definitely had a spot where I mean

the secondary could have helped, could have helped,

but you give up two 40 on the

ground.

You're not going to win a lot of

football games, JD.

What's good.

Comment from YouTube.

Cowboys suck.

The Browns beat the Bucs.

Oh, that's painful.

That is painful.

When you just say things out loud sometimes,

man, the Browns beat the Bucs.

Oh, that's ugly.

That is ugly.

Comment from tick tock.

Ferg needs to see the bench and the

coaching staff is incompetent.

Ferg.

I mean a lot of this game, man.

I know he had three catches for 19,

but man, couple of drops, couple of balls

going off the hands, Patty caking up in

the air, DaRon bland, man, the geo I'm

with you.

I reacted live to that.

The DaRon bland should have been pick six

circle that one.

That, that makes it, that makes it a

game, man.

That makes it, you know, 24 to 22.

And now you've got an opportunity to potentially

tie the game.

Even if you don't tie the game, you

have a chance to get the ball back

and kick a game winning field goal.

DaRon bland, definitely a guy.

I look at those two drops, the DaRon

bland drop of the pick six and the

Ferguson drop.

Those are the two that I look at

the most.

I mean, those are the plays that stand

out to me the most.

Granted I've said full disclosure, this game was

lost before those two plays.

It was absolutely lost before those two plays,

but those are the two plays I think

that are going to stick out in a

lot of Cowboys fans minds.

I mean, I definitely will remember those two

because they happened in clutch moments late where

you really needed people to rise above.

You really needed the guys to rise above

and you just didn't get it.

John says YouTube comment here.

All the team has to do to set

franchise records is play Dallas.

That feeling's very ranger-esque, right?

Cowboys are the get right game.

Just like the Rangers are the get right

game at times.

Hmm.

Daniels took two weeks a PTO and still

going to win the division talking about the

commanders.

I don't know who's going to win this

division, man.

Even with Daniels.

I don't, I don't have a ton of

faith in the commanders.

And I know maybe some people are going

to say I'm being a hater commanders to

me.

I don't trust them either.

I don't know why you would be trusting

Washington.

I don't really trust anybody in the NFC

East right now, including the Cowboys.

Eagles look terrible.

Washington always going to be Washington find.

They'll find a way to blow it at

some point.

And the giants, you feel like the wheels

are going to fall off eventually Harbaugh or

not.

I don't know.

I know Harbaugh is a really good coach.

I don't want to knock him down any

pegs.

I have a lot of respect for him,

but it's hard for me to see the

giant sustaining success.

It really is every week question here, Bryce,

what's good.

So say every week from here on out,

the defense is the same.

When do you make a big change?

You know, Jerry has shown, and I tweeted

out in jest, like, is Schotty going to

get fired after this game?

Like that was when it was getting bad.

Like this game actually became competitive, but I

don't know if they make any kind of

move.

Honestly, Bryce, like, I don't, I don't see

them doing it.

I know some people hit me back after

that Schotty comment that I made and were

like, Christian Parker is going to going to

be gone before him.

I don't know.

I think that it's probably going to end

up being a situation where each one rides

it out for the entire season.

Yeah.

Scott definitely has a point.

Like, you know, the, the comment is Jerry

will never fire puppets.

You know, Schotty does have that rep is

a little bit of a yes, man.

He's, he's definitely got that reputation like it

or not.

It's there.

And clearly, you know, nobody who is commenting

that in this chat probably knows exactly what

goes on behind the closed doors, but those

are the optics.

Those are definitely the optics.

I think at this point, both of them

probably ride it out to the end of

the season.

I don't see them pulling the plug on

either one of those guys.

Hire Mike Tomlin.

Ethan says YouTube comment here and trade for

Kyle pits.

Mike Tomlin.

I definitely wouldn't mind Mike Tomlin.

That would be weird coming from the Steelers

to the Cowboys.

But honestly, I wouldn't be mad at that.

You know, Mike, I know had the reputation,

like not really taking you over the top.

You're always going to be just, you know,

winning, maybe winning record, but never going too

deep.

Tell you what, I would take the consistency.

I'll take the consistency at this point.

You're losing to one of the worst teams

in the NFL.

You almost lost to the Texans last week.

Yeah, I'm with Scott on this one.

I don't think Tomlin would, would work well

with Jerry either.

I'm with you on that.

Gerald says, wish interceptions got credited to receivers

when the ball goes through the hands.

Come on, Ferg.

A hundred percent, man.

Like Dak taking the Ferguson interception on the

chin.

Like, dude, what are we doing there?

I don't understand that at all.

I've never really gotten that, but it is

what it is.

Johnny, is that an official injury report?

Barham, I know walked off and I didn't

get an update on him again.

Barham walking off though.

It definitely didn't look great, but you never

know what the extent of the injuries are.

You don't.

So we'll see.

We had more injuries than first downs.

Oh, goodness, man.

What a game.

Embarrassing loss.

That's the first word that comes to mind,

just an embarrassing loss.

Dustin with you on that.

Like you got, you got Dak who you

feel like is, is one of the only

adults there and Dak didn't have a great

game tonight, but it definitely feels like a

team that is just not rising above early

on in this season and you're playing down,

man, you're playing down to the competition.

It's any given Sunday.

We all know this NFL, you know, you

definitely have your bottom dwellers, but it's any

given Sunday.

And to get down 24 to 10.

And the only reason it was actually close

at the end, if we're being honest is

because Todd Bowles, for whatever reason decides not

to kick the field goal to go up

17.

Otherwise this game was cooked long before Jake

Ferguson drops an easy first down that ends

up being the game, losing interception lag nation

says, I don't care.

I'm hitting the panic button.

I think a lot of Cowboys fans are

hitting the panic button.

Myself included to an extent.

I think you lose to a win list

team.

It's hard not to panic.

It's hard not to panic, man.

Turd Ferguson.

I did not realize this nickname was catching

on so well.

I got to hang out with y'all

a little more, I guess that that's what

that last play was from Fergie.

Surely a turd got to have that football.

Somebody was, somebody said, I don't know if

John's still hanging out.

Somebody was saying that throw was behind Fergie.

And that, that is just some epic decade

or eight.

I got to say that that throw was

right there.

I mean, is it, is it a perfect

toss?

No, it's not perfect.

A few passes are as there's not a

perfect pass, every other throw, but Fergie's got

to catch that one.

Uh, next up Cowboys Sunday night football green

Bay.

Then you got Eagles Cardinals Colts.

After that by week is going to be

not for a while, huh?

By week.

Isn't until December 13th.

Jeez.

Cowboys don't have a buy till December, mid

December.

That is wild.

I don't know what, how you feel like

if they need the buyer, if they, if

they just need to play this out, but,

and not having a buy for another couple

months.

Okay.

Drip and dry down always, man.

You can always count on me.

A rain or shine winter loss.

We're always talking about the DFW sports teams

that we love.

The Rangers, the Cowboys were here a lot

more rain than shine of late.

Unfortunately, Jackson, a comment from Tik TOK says

they're going to fire Brian by week eight.

I don't see it.

And by the way, I'm not, I'm not

like a Schotty apologist, but I would be

surprised if they fired him.

I just would.

I really would.

Good.

Ciao.

YouTube comment here says surprise.

Schotty.

Didn't do our verse.

We book and ladder pass runner, something complicated

there.

He used to do some pretty crazy calls.

Now his calls look conservative.

Yeah, it, it does feel like it got

a little bit more conservative last year at

the end.

And then this year you haven't seen a

lot of dynamic plays.

You know what I always think about?

You had the Bucs with some wide open

plays tonight and the Cowboys had a couple,

but that to me is the mark of

a great offensive coach.

When you are just scheming things wide open,

man, wide open tonight, it didn't feel like

there was a ton of wide open at

times.

Sure.

And I think the buck started playing a

little looser there when they went up 24

to 10, just trying to eat clock over

the middle of the field.

But yeah, look Schotty.

Everything, everything Schotty does right now is going

to be under the microscope.

Tony F YouTube comment.

That should have been an easy win for

the Cowboys.

I agree.

A hundred percent.

I agree.

Definitely should not have been a game that

had to come down to the final possession.

You should have been up 10, putting the

game on ice in the fourth quarter.

Good point here from Scott.

When the Cowboys go hurry up, they were

better.

It did seem like they got into a

good rhythm when they were hurry up at

the end of the fourth quarter.

Might be something that they need to potentially

work in a little bit more when it

comes to the game here in a week

and a half at Lambeau.

Maybe you do hurry up a little bit

more than, I mean, the downside of that

is you go three and out in the

hurry up, it's a hand in the ball

back over to the team, back over to

the opposing team and getting your defense back

on the field quickly.

But I will agree.

They looked more sharp.

They looked a lot more functional in the

hurry up.

Luciano, we were talking about this, honestly, even

if they would have scored at the end,

I bet they would have missed the two

point conversion.

A couple of y'all said that late.

Like I said, that's just the cynicism that

comes naturally from years of being a Cowboys

fan.

Oh, right, man.

Now let's get into it.

We've gone through a lot, honestly, over the

first, what, 45 minutes of the show, 50

plus minutes of the show.

Look, the Cowboys tonight.

You just got run over by Bucky Irving.

Let's start there.

Tampa Bay, 241 rushing yards, 39 attempts, 6

.2 yards of carry.

And look, Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, let's

be real.

Those guys were brought in to stop the

run.

And we're not blaming everything on Kenny Clark

and Quinnen Williams, but it is painful.

You traded Micah.

And look, you guys know, I definitely am

more on the page of you didn't need

to pay Micah that crazy money.

I think Micah had a lot of nice

moments, but in the big games when it

mattered most, felt like Micah did not show

up enough times to warrant making him one

of the highest paid, if not the highest

paid defender in the game.

I'm actually okay with that, but it just

is disappointing that what you've got with Quinn

and Williams, what you've got with Kenny Clark,

you know, as a Roku theory, all those

guys up on the front and you're giving

up 240 yards and Micah didn't stop the

run Jackson.

I appreciate that comment.

I was trying to explain that because a

couple of people were like, man, we miss

Micah.

Micah was not a run stopper, man.

In fact, teams would just run it up

the middle on you when Micah was playing

because Micah, he would just go freestyle.

Sometimes that was one of the negatives of

Micah.

I mean, it was also one of the

brilliances of Micah, but it was one of

the negatives.

Micah would go off script.

He would do his own thing and that's

what made him great at times, but he

would run himself out of place and the

other team, the opposing team would just run

the football up the middle, right past him.

Micah was not a run stopper.

You had Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark

installed to prevent big running games like this.

Bucky Irving going for a buck 65 on

21 carries 72 yard run coming out at

halftime, completely changed the direction of the game.

It really did Dallas.

Actually, it's crazy, but Dallas actually led this

game 10 to seven at halftime.

They have a base scored 17 points in

the third quarter and the Cowboys scored nothing.

That to me is the big difference in

this ball game.

Yes.

He had a couple of plays at the

end, but that was one of the big

differences in this game.

No doubt.

He also, of course, had Tampa Bay controlling

39 minutes o'clock to the Cowboys.

21 defense was gassed.

I think you can put two and two

together.

The defense was gassed.

You did not have the Cowboys running the

football a lot, and that is a negative,

right?

That is a natural consequence.

You don't run the football.

You only ran Javonte 12 times.

It was tough sledding for Javonte at moments

in this game.

He actually finished with a decent, uh, care,

uh, yards per carry average, but nevertheless, when

you don't run the football a lot, you're

going to seed some time of possession.

And that was a reason why the Cowboys

got run over, got a little gassed against

the Buccaneers rushing attack.

I think that we can acknowledge, you know,

that, that the injuries and, you know, the

illness for Joey Porter jr.

It's all like definitely mattering.

I don't want to make light.

Like those are nothing burgers that just need

to be discarded, but still you had your

defensive front.

You had your starters up there and you

just were not able to slow down any

really of the Bucs rushing attack.

Mobile quarterbacks as well, continue to be a

problem.

Yeah.

Lamar Jackson.

Yeah.

Jackson dart to begin the season.

Clearly Jaden Daniels, a little bit of Marcus

Mariota in there.

Cowboys really have struggled against mobile quarterbacks.

And there were some times where I think

they called it out on the broadcast.

You weren't even like shadowing.

You weren't even spying.

You weren't even spying Daniels at all in

this one, which was, I think kind of

an interesting defensive strategy.

And I'm being nice there.

Rookie quarterback definitely made this one look worse,

right?

19 to 25 was Jalon Daniels for a

buck.

89 touchdown, no interceptions, 110.3 passer rating.

It was his first NFL start on the

road.

You win it in Cowboys stadium.

And he really didn't have to do a

lot with how efficiently Tampa Bay was running

the football continuing on.

Yeah.

Also had a sack, I believe recorded by

Malachi Lawrence, but this was a Bucs team

that was one of the worst offensive lines

in terms of giving up sacks.

The offensive line for the Bucs is averaged

four sacks allowed per game.

And I think it was late in the

third quarter before Dallas finally got one.

So if you can't rush the passer against

one of the worst O-lines in the

league up to this point, when can we

really ever expect this defensive front to properly

pressure the quarterback?

This was the game.

I mean, if you wanted some kind of

party coming out party for this front, for

this defensive front, this was the game to

do it where you get your two or

three sacks or more.

And it was almost the fourth quarter before

Dallas got one.

Granted, I know they pressured Daniels.

They had them in the grasp a few

times, but still this was the game to

terrorize an opposing quarterback without bad.

The Bucs O-line had been you had

another nice stop by Barham down there at

the goal line.

That was huge.

It was crazy, but the Cowboys, they had

a shot there late.

And honestly, you had some mistakes.

You had the Ferguson drop.

You had the DaRon Bland pick six drop,

but the game was lost in the, in

that third quarter.

It really felt like first and second quarter

were blah, but you went into halftime with

the lead game was really lost in the

third quarter.

Dak's numbers to me, don't tell the whole

story.

I know I've defended Dak at a number

of different points this season.

We've already talked to a couple of the

reasons why I think you look at the

box score.

You see the two picks.

It really doesn't tell you what exactly happened.

The yardage I think makes the game look

a little bit more productive than the offensive

performance actually felt.

You know, Dallas only scored 10 points to

the first three quarters.

It's going to be hard for me to

hype up this performance from Dak, but surely

don't see Dak as the main issue in

tonight's game.

You couldn't run the football that goes, I

think on first of all, coaching, you're not

having a real balanced attack.

Second of all O-line play, you're not

getting good push with the O-line.

That's an issue had a lot of pressure

on Dak tonight.

I would not say the O-line played

a great game.

I do agree with PJM here.

Dak in the first half was not good,

was not great.

Second half, I feel like Dak turned it

on a little bit, came out of halftime.

Third quarter was still not where it needed

to be.

But in the fourth quarter, you saw Dak

starting to get comfortable, starting to do his

thing.

And it really coincided with the hurry up.

I think Scott pointed that out in a

couple of comments earlier on in the show.

I think that hurry up did unlock something,

but nevertheless, an uneven game from the offense,

very uneven game from them.

CD Lamb, two catches, nine yards.

Four days ago, 17 catches for 189.

When you don't have CD at full strength

and when you don't have CD doing his

thing, it is going to be difficult.

I think Tampa Bay's coverage definitely deserves some

consideration here.

I think they were doing some things defensively.

You'd have to go back and slow everything

down, rewatch a few plays here and there.

But it just felt like at the end

of the day, you weren't making enough adjustments.

You didn't make enough adjustments.

And you turned the ball over.

Some of them were fluky, but some of

them just straight up not catching the football,

like Jake Ferguson at the very end of

the game.

Don't think the quarterback deserves every ounce of

blame for this loss, but the throws tonight,

not as crisp, not as clean as they

needed to be.

I think Dak would tell you he needs

to play better.

That being said, I don't feel like he

got a lot of help from the supporting

cast tonight.

And Duck Deuce, that is true.

He didn't get hurt until the second half.

I wouldn't even give 75% to Dak.

I really wouldn't.

I mean, just look at the supporting cast,

man.

You didn't have a running game.

The O-line was allowing a lot of

pressure tonight.

For me, I'm not even going 50-50.

Dak can take a quarter, maybe a third.

I'm not giving Dak 50-50.

Definitely not giving him 75.

Defense did get some stops.

Absolutely, the defense did get some stops.

24 points allowed is not the end of

the world.

I think you'd take that a lot from

this defense, honestly.

Turnovers definitely made a bad performance, much worse.

The first interception in Tampa Bay territory, you

had the Bucs following it up with a

touchdown.

Those were the big swings, right?

It's not just the turnovers.

It's the fact that you had some capitalization

from Tampa Bay afterwards.

And Duck Deuce, great segue here.

And then you had Dallas not really capitalizing

when their defense did get off the field.

Texas Bevo with you.

The third and 21 was embarrassing.

You gave up the third and 21.

There were times where the defense didn't get

off the field.

But you felt like they got off the

field enough tonight.

Now, let's do the ultimate truth serum here.

Bucs were 7-for-13 on third down,

7-for-14 on third and fourth down.

I mean, look, you had, I guess, getting

off the field maybe a little bit more,

but a 50% third down, fourth down

conversion rate, still probably not the most favorite

thing to see in the box score.

The penalties tonight, you had 7-for-57.

The Bucs had 14 penalties.

So the Bucs had double the amount of

penalties tonight, and they still won this game

pretty calm and collectively.

That is kind of crazy.

You see 14 penalties from the Bucs to

Dallas 7.

But it's the three turnovers.

The Terp and Fumble was huge.

Yeah, the Romo debate's always going to be

there.

To me, I don't get into the Romo

debate too much.

There are times I feel like more recently

after Romo was demoted from his position as

quarterback when Dak stepped onto the scene, there

were times I'd play that game in the

late 2010s, but I just don't even play

the Romo game anymore.

Who knows?

You feel like with Romo, too, there's a

little bit of rose-colored glasses.

He had a lot of fourth-quarter comebacks.

I'm a big Tony Romo fan.

Don't get me wrong.

But I just can't play the Romo game

anymore.

I can't.

Romo, to me, always going to be beloved.

But at this point, I think there was

a lot more wrong than the quarterback.

You start talking about Romo tonight winning this

game, it's like you're kind of taking out

all the other factors of the ball game.

Quarterback's a very important position.

Don't get me wrong, but this game went

beyond the quarterback.

Christian Parker, let's wrap this up as best

we can.

Joey Porter being unavailable, Joey Porter Jr. out

with an illness, it mattered.

I'm sure they had a plan coming into

this one, featuring Joey Porter Jr. a little

bit more.

You throw in Durant, you throw in Overshown

being out, and that all adds up, no

doubt.

Those are legitimate personnel limitations.

But the bigger problem was Tampa Bay controlling

the line of scrimmage, where you actually had

your big guns available.

They hadn't won a game, had a rookie

quarterback, and they rushed for 241 yards.

I mean, look, the 64-yard reception by

Johnson, the 72-yard Irving run, we kind

of talked about this last week a little

bit, the explosive plays.

This defense allows way too many explosive plays,

and tonight it killed you.

It absolutely killed you tonight, and you allowed

one through the air and one on the

ground.

A lot of missed tackles tonight.

I'm not going to pretend like Christian Parker

can go out there and drag these guys

to the ground.

I mean, we had absolutely poor tackling and

blown assignments at different points in this game.

Yes, I think the coach definitely is a

reflection of that at times, but the coach

can't be out there wrapping up and bringing

someone to the ground.

I think there is something to be said

about that.

Goal line stand, subsequent punt, show that the

Cowboys, they can get off the field at

times, but what we're missing is an entire

game.

We have not really had a complete performance

from this defense at any moment.

Next, we go to Green Bay, wrapping up

the show here as best we can.

Sunday night football, so you get plenty of

time to rest, 10 days between games before

you travel up north, and after playing three

times in 11 days, I think that is

going to be a valuable opportunity for the

Cowboys to recover and get some work done.

Jordan Love, eight touchdown passes through four games,

definitely more experience than Daniels what we saw

tonight, but I'm not sure how much that

matters.

Dallas can't assume the passing game mistakes that

we saw tonight are going to suddenly disappear

against Jordan Love, man.

If anything, you feel like they might get

a little bit worse.

That said, Green Bay, you break them down

a little bit.

One of the things that stands out to

me, Green Bay has really struggled badly on

third down.

Packers are converting only about 25% of

their third downs at this point.

Naturally, that's probably going to be about 75

% in a week and a half here,

I'm sure.

This defense, man, they got to show us

something.

Got to show us something.

Dallas, they need to take advantage of those

third down situations against a team like Green

Bay.

Packers, by the way, beat Tampa Bay 17

to 14 last Sunday.

Kind of an interesting comparison after Dallas just

allowed 241 rushing yards against the same opponent.

Every game's matchups and circumstances are different, sure,

but I mean, watching Green Bay beat the

Bucs, now we got to go play Green

Bay at home.

I mean, I know they lost Cooper for

the season, one of their key linebackers with

an Achilles injury.

That's probably, I'm sure, going to create a

little bit of uncertainty with their defense.

Be interesting to see how they step up

there.

Kind of gives Dallas, I think, an important

question to evaluate, though, with Javonte Williams in

the running game.

You got to take advantage when a big

-time linebacker goes down like that.

You definitely want to test out the replacement.

They really need to get the running game

going next week against Green Bay.

They went away from today, and I think

it really did cost them.

I would love to see them recommit to

the running game next week when they're in

Green Bay.

Linebackers, Duck Deuce, I think we just need

to get Overshown healthy, and I think that's

going to make a big difference.

I do like Barham.

I like Overshown.

They've got some good young players, definitely.

Nevertheless, there's always room for improvement, don't get

me wrong.

Worst secondary in the league, it's not a

good one.

It's not a great one.

DaRon Bland, look, I know he drops the

interception tonight that might have tied up the

game or helped to tie up the game,

but still.

And then, going back to the Green Bay

matchup, Micah Parsons, man, always going to be

fun when we match up against him.

He might remain sidelined until November with his

ACL recovery.

I think that former Cowboy storyline is definitely

going to get some attention, but we'll see

if he's actually going to be on the

field right now.

It looks like he is potentially going to

be sidelined here for a couple of months,

at least another month.

We'll see what happens.

Appreciate all y'all.

Look, you will see me on Saturday for

the Red River shootout.

We've got the Longhorns and the Sooners squaring

off Texas, Oklahoma.

I will be back doing a live for

that one.

So if you like college football, you like

the Longhorns, or you're a Longhorns hater, come

and hang out, man.

We'll be live in the fourth quarter of

Red River, man.

It's going to be great.

I feel pretty good about that game.

I was talking to my dad really just

We were talking about Red River, and I

don't feel the same nerves that I felt

in the past.

When I was young, and look, this is

dating myself a little bit, but in the

late 90s, early 2000s, I feel like I

was always sweating this game.

Oklahoma is on a little bit of a

different path right now, but honestly, the defense

of Texas is just so good.

I just feel a bit of a calm.

I think even if Arch has a little

bit of an uneven game, even if the

offense isn't clicking great, I just don't know

how OU is going to score against that

Texas defense.

I really don't.

By the way, as I mentioned to you

guys, I do Rangers quite often here on

the show.

It's called Right on Rangers for a reason.

I cover pretty much all DFW sports teams.

We just expanded our coverage to the Dallas

Stars, so you'll be seeing Dallas Stars content.

You'll be seeing Dallas Mavericks content starting up.

My goal is to do at least one

reaction video for every game for the Stars

and the Mavericks from this point on, and

then you'll have Texas Longhorns football.

You'll have Dallas Cowboys football, and then Texas

Rangers offseason.

Every Wednesday night, I do a Texas Rangers

offseason show as well, so we do about

three lives a week.

Would love to have you come out, hang

out as much as you possibly can, so

we'll take Friday off tomorrow, and then we'll

be back for Saturday college football.

That's the plan.

We're sticking to it.

Appreciate everybody that's followed so far during the

show.

I mean, this is what we do.

We just hang out, talk ball.

I do a little podcast, just live stream

hybrid.

I have my stuff that I cover while

I'm on the show that I try and

repurpose throughout the week in terms of content,

shorts, and reels, but I try and take

as many comments and questions as I can,

so man, I definitely appreciate all you guys

that have commented tonight, and this is why

I started this thing, just wanted to talk

ball and wanted to make sure that I

had a number of different sounding boards.

You guys make it always a great show

with your comments and questions, so again, thank

you.

Appreciate you.

All right, let me see what else I

got.

Where was CD Lamb?

A couple comments here to end the show.

I believe injured, but I guess we're going

to find out.

Man, Dirk was at this game.

He had to watch this.

That is really too bad.

Dirk came out for this one, had to

watch that stinker.

Oh, gotta be kidding me.

Oh my goodness.

I feel bad.

That legend in the building and he got

that performance.

Sorry, Dirk.

Genuinely sorry, my guy.

Hey, I hope you guys have a great

weekend ahead.

Happy Friday to you tomorrow.

We'll be back on Saturday for the Red

River Shootout.

Until then, have a good weekend.

If I don't see you, and as I

always say, to end every show, God bless,

and go Cowboys.
