Langford’s Homer Lifts Texas Back Into a Wild Card Spot

Texas rallied from a 3-0 hole to beat the Athletics 5-3 and move back into the final American League Wild Card spot. Wyatt Langford went 3-for-4 with the go-ahead two-run homer, MacKenzie Gore recovered after Henry Bolte’s early three-run shot, Jakob Junis returned with an eight-pitch inning, and Jacob Latz finished a six-out save.

Austin is done declaring every Rangers win a turning point, but this one at least stopped the bleeding. He also gets into Corey Seager and the clubhouse’s emotional temperature, Alejandro Osuna and Logan O’Hoppe, Sebastian Walcott vs. Justin Foscue, and Cody Bradford’s chance to win the series Sunday.
